The SCR Elektroniks PHVT-10kV/200mA AC/DC Programmable High Voltage Tester is designed for reliable insulation and electrical safety testing. It performs AC and DC Hipot testing by applying a controlled high voltage to the product and monitoring leakage current.
The tester features a Siemens LOGO PLC-based control system, allowing users to easily set the test voltage and test time. Digital displays provide clear readings of voltage, current, and time for accurate monitoring.
If the leakage current exceeds the preset limit, the tester instantly trips and indicates a fault, ensuring safe and dependable testing. With both Auto and Manual operating modes and advanced safety features, it is ideal for quality control, production testing, and laboratory applications.
Operating Modes:
Auto Mode :
In Auto Mode, the operator sets the required test voltage and test duration through the Siemens PLC-based controller. Once the test is started the tester automatically increases the voltage to the preset level, maintains it for the programmed duration, continuously monitors the leakage current, and displays both voltage and current digitally. Upon completion of the test, the voltage gradually returns to zero. If an insulation breakdown occurs during the test, the high voltage is instantly disconnected and the breakdown voltage is retained for reference.
Manual Mode:
In Manual Mode the tester provides greater flexibility by allowing the operator to manually control the output voltage using Raise and Lower push buttons. A motorized variac enables smooth voltage adjustment, allowing the unit to function like a conventional high-voltage tester while maintaining all essential safety features.
